Variable Auto Transformer
Variable Auto Transformer called as “Variac” is the most effective device for steeples, break less & continuous Control of AC voltage and normally used for testing purposes or applications requiring varying voltage requirement.
The basic Variac is meant for operation from a normal single phase input voltage of 230v Ac and gives output voltage anywhere between 0 to 270 V or 0 to 300 V in single phase, Three Such Variacs connected electrically in star and mechanically in tandem, becomes suitable for operation from a nominal three phase input voltage of 415v and gives three phase output anywhere between 0 to 470v or as desired. Can be further customized with Options of manual or motorized operations, Oil or air Cooled, Safety Features etc.
